I didn't start Safeguard because I had a grand idea for a security company.
I was already working in the industry and I could see things I believed could be done better.
From the beginning, I wanted customers to receive what they were promised and I wanted the systems we designed to work the way they were supposed to work.
As the industry changed, I kept learning. I studied electronics while running the guarding business because I believed technology was going to reshape security. It did—and Safeguard grew with it.
There have been successes, difficult periods, wrong turns and plenty of lessons. They have all shaped the company we are today.
After almost 30 years, what motivates me is no longer simply winning another contract. It is the people who depend on the business, the customers who trust us, and the opportunity to leave Safeguard better today than it was yesterday.
